One Look by PrincessPotter

Harry is out trying to deafeat Voldie and Ginny’s at Hogwarts. “This is a story of love. A love that is tested; a love that is threatened; but a love that will not be denied. Can Harry and Ginny find their way back to each other after an old enemy tears them apart and defeat the new enemy who is determined to destroy them? A romance. What is a love story without angst and trouble really?”

Wonderful story filled with romance, angst and lots of drama! The charactarisation is spot on, and so is the writing style. Even if your not a shipper, you’ll find yourself screaming at the computer around chapter seven, I promise. And when you reach the end, your gonna need some tissues…

It starts off just like many of those stories written about Harry leaving to go horcrux-hunting. Harry and Ginny are together, sorta, at the Burrow. Then he leaves, along with Ron and Hermione, and everyone’s sad. Harry and Ginny write letters to eachother (Hedwig didn’t die, yay!). But little do they know that someone intercepts their letters and sends fake ones instead. They both believe that the other has moved on, and that their relationship is over. Heartbroken, they try to get over it, and start dating new people. But will their love truly die? Or will they find their way back to eachother? Read and find out!

”The dark room made his dark plaid pajama pants seem almost black but she could still make out the faded lion on his old Gryffindor t-shirt. “No,” he said, “I’m not afraid, I just don’t want to be in a room with you.”

Ginny felt a pang of sadness as his words hit home but she pushed it down, raising her chin. They glared at each other for moment before she stood up.“Well,” she said coldly as she walked towards him, “I can’t think of a reason why I would want to be with you either, so I’ll leave you to it.”She tried to walk by him but he grabbed her arm, stopping her movement. “Let go of me,” she said in a low voice, looking at his hand on her arm.

“Are you sure?” he taunted her, his eyes flashing as she looked back up. He was angry at her for what she had said to him earlier at the shop and offended that she would act like he had wronged her in someway. She had hurt him, not the other way around.“If I’m not mistaken you used to like it when I touched you…”

Her eyes narrowed and she jerked her arm but he just tightened his grip, keeping her close. “Well now you make me sick,” she said. He leaned his face into hers and said, “Well that’s good because you make me sick too.” They stood there, glaring at each other…It was a weird sensation for both of them as they looked into the eyes of the other, feeling the attraction that was still there mix with the anger they felt. Before either could really think about it they were kissing, and neither was sure who had moved first. Ginny knew she should pull away, this is Harry for God’s sake, she thought, I don’t want to kiss Harry – hex him into next week maybe, but not kiss him… but her body didn’t seem to agree and instead she leaned in, pressing her lips more firmly against his.”

Okay, I know, this isn’t fluff in the true meaning of the word, but this is one of my favs, so I had to mention it.And there are some nice shippy bits, and actually the most well-written Draco/Luna scene I’ve ever read. Kinda weird ship if you ask me, but after this I sorta think it’s cute.  And if it is fluff you want, the beginning is just as fluffy as any fluff story you can find, so read the first 4 chapters and you’ll be fine So, please read this, you’ll LOVE it! It was written pre-DH, so there are no spoilers, eventhough I think that everyone should have finished book seven by now.
